Alberta Open Farm Days is a weekend that brings Albertans together, and we want you to be our guest. You’ll come away knowing your rural neighbours a little bit better and how food gets from the farm to your table.
On August 15th and 16th local chefs from across the province will team up with Alberta producers to offer a memorable series of culinary experiences. This year’s culinary events include something for everyone. Choose one of the great events listed below and enjoy the tastes of Alberta agriculture.

We hope that you will join us at Prairie Gardens, to celebrate Alberta’s Open Farm Days. Your experience will begin with a Welcome Drink (alcohol is an optional add-on), then Appetizers finished in front of you on the Grill, and served outside (weather permitting). Then you’ll be divided into groups of 12 for a tour of the Farm before settling down for dinner in the lovely Greenhouse (or outside if weather permits), where tables will allow for cohorts of up to 6. Ticket sales are limited to just 36. Your dinner will feature freshly picked produce from the fields and greenhouses at Prairie Gardens, and all of our proteins are sustainably sourced from local farms, producers and suppliers. Live entertainment will add to the magic of the night! We hope that you will join us for this unique Farm to Table experience and celebrate a Taste of Place along with us.

Event Fee: $145 per person, plus GST, including gratuities.Your Fee Includes: A 5-course meal with Appetizers served outdoors (weather permitting) followed by a seated meal in the Greenhouse (or outdoors if the weather permits). A farm tour and live entertainment are also included in the price.
Wines by the glass or bottle, and beer by the can, can be purchased on the night. Or you can pre-order your wine by the bottle, at a $10 discount per bottle.

We will be hosting farmer golf, participants use the untamed farm land and gold over 10 acres of unaltered farm land. Obstacles include cow patties, cows, barb wire, gophers the usual stuff you find on a farm. We will also be reverse flowing pork and serving it on a bun to the public in our new even building.
Saturday August 15: Paint Night in the Orchard - Enjoy a light and elegant, finger-food dinner featuring fruit fresh from the orchard. Art Tree Studios will be on-site, leading the creative process...no experience required! The setting overlooks the Blindman Valley and the evening will conclude as the sun sets and the lights come out!
Sunday August 16 will be tours in the orchard, complete with samples, straight from the trees, and the opportunity to purchase fruit, snacks, preserves and more.
We will be opening our farm up for anyone and everyone to come and see what we do. We will have: hay wagon tour, garden walks, kids activity area including mini petting zoo, new this year we will have amazing Mel from The Northern Table on site with prepared hot food to purchase, and market tent set up to purchase products. Did we mention that there are endless picnic locations?! Come and meet the farmers and learn where your food comes from. For ages 0-10
Join us in August when more than 80 farms, ranches and ag-tourism operators open their gates and invite visitors to share in local stories, see on-farm demonstrations and purchase locally grown and produced products.
