Local food, local producers, gathered in one place – the historic George Pegg Botanic Gardens, 56014 RR 43, near Glenevis Alberta.
We are showcasing local food artisans and farmers during a day market event running from 9-4. Admission and grounds access is free, petting zoo, and kids events will be a small fee.
Producers will be selling beef, pork, chicken, turkey and other protein products, eggs, artisan bread, condiments and coffee, organic produce, flowers and berries, and other fresh market garden products.
Collette’s Kitchen will bake fresh pizza and Culina To Go will provide lunch items. Plenty of selfie ops around the historic gardens.
We will also have a petting zoo, ice cream, and local artists!
The ticketed chef catered dinner will be by Brad and Cindy Lazarenko from Culina and will feature exclusively producer goods from the day and cocktails from Black Diamond Distillery and Bent Stick Brewing. Tickets online through Eventbrite.
Several Greenhouses have also come together to provide us with flowers for the grounds! The greenhouses include MoJo Garden Center and Diner on Hwy 43, Deherdt Greenhouses in Barrhead, Pots and Pansies Greenhouse in Mosside, and Alice Szybunka in Cherhill.
Come out and see also the local Fair, which runs down the road in Darwell as well as a Tractor Pull. Lots to see and do.
