What would it be like if we visited a farm that helped reverse climate change? If the food we ate helped heal the environment, and ourselves?
It would be delicious. Come engage in a new way of thinking about food, farming and our place in the world. Regenerative farming goes far beyond sustainability. Hands-on “do to learn” free activities include: guided educational family garden harvest tours (pay for what you pick), solve a corn labyrinth!
$$ For a fee: sign up for a mini workshop to learn about raising chickens, succulent tea cup gardening, composting, a farm foraging hike, pickling vegetables, and add-on farm harvest picnic or campfire site complete with hot dog and veggie roast. Register today for a collaborative chef lead Short Table Farm Dinner (Saturday 5pm-9pm) with Chef Kathryn Joel of Get Cooking Edmonton.
Please note: Due to Covid, there are new protocols: Please wear a mask while picking vegetables, stay a min of 2 M apart, no outside food is allowed onsite. Picnics are by reservation only. The petting farm, train ride and gem mine are not open at this time. Thank you for supporting a local farm.
This event is now over. Check back for details on the 2021 event.
