Piper Creek Gardens features a perennial food forest, a native plant pollinator garden (So many wildflowers!), as well as private garden plots managed by the city of Red Deer’s Community Gardens program.
Previously a family owned farm, this plot of land is transforming into a teaching space where urban and rural come together on the edge of the city.
Come out for Open Farm Days August 17& 18 from 1-5pm for a BBQ and learn about what’s next for the Piper Creek Restoration Agriculture Project. You’ll get some great ideas for how to bring biodiversity into your own yard, maximize garden yields, and also discover a beautiful picnic site that is open from May-October
Join us on August 17th or 18th when more than 100 farms, ranches and ag-tourism operators open their gates and invite visitors to share in local stories, see on-farm demonstrations and purchase locally grown and produced products.
