Come and enjoy our hay bale maze that includes over 100 hay bales. There will be a display of farm machinery, with Jim available to answer questions, and for photo opportunities. We will have a demonstration, and hands on station for wheat grinding. There will be a few cattle, and a horse that will easily accessible for viewing and again for questions and pictures.
We will be bringing the soft serve ice cream machine from Homegrown to offer ice cream for sale (we are the only organic soft serve ice cream in Alberta). Our ice cream will also be used by the Pie Shoppe for desert in the picnic lunch. Also, from Homegrown we will be offering organic coffee, espresso, and a small assortment of snacks.
Directions: From Stony Plain go south on highway 779 turn west on highway 627 to Range road 13 A turn south and go to end of the road, you will drive into the farm driveway.
Join us on August 18th or 19th when more than 100 farms, ranches and ag-tourism operators open their gates and invite visitors to share in local stories, see on-farm demonstrations and purchase locally grown and produced products.
