This day is all about fun learning. For people that don’t have a farm to visit in the family, this gives you an opportunity to come learn about all kinds of farming and the research behind smart farming. You can take a wagon ride and see lots of different crops in small plots under research. You can climb on large machinery. You can talk to 4H leaders, federal and provincial scientists working on all kinds of things. You can taste and or buy grown and made in Alberta food products.
Our BBQ is $5 and includes Taber corn! Mark this day on your calendar and join us for a fantastic few hours in the sunshine.
We ask people to register for the wagon rides as the wagon has a maximum capacity.
Farmers if you have a story to tell our urban neighbours, consider joining us as learning station in the field. We also have a booth for Ask a Farmer. Come tell us why farming is the best job in the world.
